The Bible teaches that as a
Christian, you can lay hands on the sick and they will recover. This prayer is
a guideline for praying for the sick. Be led by the Spirit when you prayer for
others and memorize healing scriptures.
Father
God, I ask you to touch ____________. I
know Jesus carried all of our pains and disease and bore ____________ sickness on
the cross. Send Your word and heal ________________. By Your stripes ______________ is healed!
(You may rebuke the sickness if you know what it is in the name of Jesus.) I
speak life and health to _______________________ and believe You have heard my
request. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The Scripture teaches that in some
cases sickness can be caused by sin such as unforgiveness or judging others
wrongly. Pray that the root causes of the sickness would be uncovered. Also, a
spirit of infirmity may be tormenting a person. It is important to ask the Holy
Spirit how to pray for others regarding healing and to remain loving and
patient toward them. Jesus healed with compassion.
